The Audi Q6 e-tron is Audi’s upcoming electric SUV, positioned between the Q4 and Q8 e-tron in their lineup.
It is built on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) developed in collaboration with Porsche, and shares many underpinnings with the Porsche Macan EV.
The Q6 e-tron features a spacious interior with a curved, panoramic infotainment display, eco-friendly materials, and a focus on practicality with ample cargo space and a “frunk”.
It will be assembled in India from CKD kits, making it the brand’s third EV available in the country, likely by the end of 2024.
Overview: Audi Q6 e-tron 2025
The Audi Q6 e-tron will be the brand’s third EV for India and is likely to be launched here by the end of 2024.

However, the big news is that it will be assembled from CKD kits at the Skoda Auto-VW Aurangabad plant in India.
- Audi Q6 e-tron will be assembled from CKD kits
- Assembly will take place at the SAVWIPL Aurangabad plant
- Ex-showroom price expected to be Rs 85 lakh
Feature & Tech
Audi has revealed a 285kW (388hp) dual-motor Quattro AWD variant with a WLTP-certified range of 625km from a 100kWh battery, as well as a 2WD and 240kW (326hp) single-motor variant certified for a range of 641km from the same battery.

In addition, a variant with a smaller battery with 80kWh capacity is also rumored to be announced later.
However, given that Audi India has found limited buyers for the lower-spec 50 Quattro variant of the Q8 e-tron, we suspect it will be the higher-spec 285kW Quattro variant of the Q6 e-tron that will be launched here.
Design & Style
- The Audi Q6 e-tron displays a blend of familiar Audi design and new elements, particularly in its lighting and interior technology.
- Key features include separate LED daytime running lights (DRLs) and headlights, a continuous light bar at the rear with second-generation OLED technology, and a curved infotainment and instrument cluster.
- The exterior design also featured “Quattro blisters” on the rear wheel arches and a large, inverted single-frame grille.
Engine & Performance
With an expected price of around Rs 1.1 crore and 516hp from the same dual-motor power train, the SQ6 e-tron will offer a lot more bang for one’s buck, and features stiffer suspension for more agile handling characteristics.
Its range is rated at 598km on the WLTP cycle.
Eventually, there will be an even higher-performance version – the RS Q6 e-tron – with over 600hp, which will likely use the more powerful dual-permanent magnet synchronous motor setup from the Porsche Macan Turbo, though there’s no information on whether it will come to India.
Next in line will likely be the Q6 Sport back e-tron, which is a coupe SUV derivative of the Q6 e-tron. Like other Sport back models from Audi, it will come at a slight premium over the equivalent SUV.
And as we’ve seen with the Q8 range, thanks to its more aerodynamic shape, it’ll likely have a longer range too.
Finally, the Q6 e-tron’s PPE platform will also underpin the A6 e-tron sedan, which will go into production later this year and will likely be introduced in India in late 2025.
This sedan is expected to use the same power trains as the Q6, although its range is likely to be even greater due to a more aerodynamic profile. Note, this is not a direct replacement for the petrol A6 sedan on sale today.
As per Audi’s upcoming new model nomenclature, which uses even numbers for EVs and odd numbers for ICE models, the next-gen A6 petrol will become the Audi A7.
Price & Variants
The Audi Q6 e-tron is expected to be launched in India around March 2025, with prices likely to start under ₹ 1 crore (ex-showroom).
It will be available in multiple variants, including the base Q6 e-tron, performance, Quattro and the sporty SQ6 e-tron, with the SQ6 expected to be priced above ₹ 1 crore.
