Mahindra BE 07: The Mahindra BE.07 is an upcoming electric SUV, part of Mahindra’s new “Born Electric” (BE) range, expected to be launched in India by October 2026.
It is designed as a Harrier-sized premium SUV with a focus on a sloping roofline and futuristic design elements.
The BE.07 will use Mahindra’s new INGLO platform, which incorporates components from Volkswagen’s MEB platform, including the battery pack and electric motor.
Overview: Mahindra BE 07
Mahindra’s new EV family, based on the brand’s INGLO platform, is currently in the development stage, and design patents show how close the first three models are to production.

The first model in this family of EV SUVs will be the BE.05, while the second will be the larger BE.07.
- Expected to be positioned above vehicles like Creta EV, EVX
- Expected to be launched in April 2026.
Feature & Tech
The Mahindra BE.07 is an upcoming all-electric SUV built on the INGLO platform. It will be available with both rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) configurations.
The INGLO platform supports battery capacities of 60 kWh and 80 kWh, with the larger pack offering a WLTP-certified range of up to 450 km.
The BE.07 is expected to be launched in October 2026.
- INGLO platform: The BE.07 uses Mahindra’s new INGLO platform, which is designed for flexibility and supports various battery sizes and drive train options.
- Battery options: Buyers will have a choice between a 60 kWh and an 80 kWh battery pack.
- Fast Charging: According to HT Auto, this platform supports fast charging up to 175 kW, allowing charging from 10% to 80% in about 30 minutes.
- Drive train Options: The BE.07 will be available in both RWD and AWD configurations.
- Power output: The RWD models will produce up to 285PS, while the AWD models will produce up to 394PS.
Design & Style
The design patent reveals that Mahindra has stayed true to the BE.07 concept that was first showcased on August 15, 2022.
The production-spec BE.07 will feature a traditional SUV design – it will have fewer creases and lines, and a more upright stance, than the sportier-looking BE.05.
While the larger SUV (4.6 meters long, compared to the BE.05, which is 4.3 meters) has the same C-shaped headlights and tail-lights, they are less angular than the smaller BE EV SUV.
The concept model measures 4,565 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, and 1,660 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,775 mm, meaning the production BE.07 will be positioned above the Maruti EVX, Hyundai Creta EV and the upcoming Tata Curve EV.
Although the patent image does not show the interior of the BE.07, Mahindra had previewed the cabin when the concept was revealed.
There is a huge screen on the dashboard, which is divided into three parts, a large panoramic sunroof and there is a lack of physical buttons; touch and haptic feedback seem to be the way forward for Mahindra.
Engine & Performance
As we reported earlier, Mahindra’s BE family of EV SUVs, all based on the INGLO platform, are expected to be powered by battery packs in the range of 60-80kWh with a claimed range of between 435-450km (WLTP),
Though what will power the BE.07 is yet to be confirmed. Rear-wheel drive and all-wheel versions may also be available, with electric motor output ranging between 231-286hp for the RWD BE.07, and 340-394hp for the AWD model.
Price & Variants
The Mahindra BE 07 is an upcoming electric SUV with an expected price of ₹25.00 – ₹30.00 Lakh (ex-showroom).
It is expected to be available in at least two variants, which could potentially differ in drive train, battery capacity, and features. The launch is tentatively scheduled for October 2026.
